Sensory exploration of plants can provide a sense of calm, deepen our connection with nature and remind us to slow down and enjoy the details of plants.  The focus of this webinar will be to highlight the Therapeutic Horticulture team’s Top 10 Sensory Plants.  Whether you want to add them to your garden space or simply learn how to best appreciate the sensory aspects, this session is for you.

About Jeanne: Jeanne is the Supervisor of Therapeutic Horticulture at the Missouri Botanical Garden. She holds a certificate in Horticulture Therapy from Chicago Botanic Garden and has been involved in this work for 9+years. Her previous career was as a Special Education teacher, with 25 years of experience serving the educational needs of students with significant issues. She has a Master’s degree in Education with an emphasis on Outdoor Education. The common thread in all of her work has been a belief in the power of nature to improve lives and the well-being of all humans. and remind us to slow down and enjoy the details of plants.  The focus of this webinar will be to highlight the Therapeutic Horticulture team’s Top 10 Sensory Plants.  Whether you want to add them to your garden space or simply learn how to best appreciate the sensory aspects, this session is for you.
