Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
Renuka Patel, MD, is a child and adolescent psychiatrist at Ranken Jordan, where she works closely with many children with ADHD, anxiety and developmental disorders as well as other psychiatric conditions.
Children with traumatic injuries or illnesses as well as other conditions may deal with a variety of behavioral, cognitive and emotional difficulties. Dr. Patel’s focus is on tailoring treatment to each unique child and having a positive influence on their futures.
In addition to her work at Ranken Jordan, Dr. Patel maintains a private practice in child psychiatry.
Dr. Patel was director of outpatient child psychiatry at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. She was also director of residency training in child and adolescent psychiatry at Saint Louis University. Dr. Patel has worked as a Physician Advisor at Magellan Behavioral Health, as a consultant to Jewish Family and Children’s Services and as a physician reviewer for Evangelical Children’s Home.
Currently, she is an Associate Clinical Professor at Saint Louis University. She is a Distinguished Fellow of The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
She received her pre-medical certificate at the University of the South Pacific and her MBBS at the University of Bombay. In addition, she completed an internship and residencies in psychiatry and a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Saint Louis University.
