- Reception: When you step into Ranken Jordan, you will be greeted with a smile by staff at our reception desk. For the protection and privacy of our kiddos and families, please sign in each time you visit. You will be given a badge that should be worn at all times while at Ranken Jordan.
- Warner's Corner: Our indoor playground, also known as Warner’s Corner, is the perfect place for our kiddos and families to come together and play. Having an indoor playground as the focal point of our entry way shows that at Ranken Jordan, play is an important part of healing. The playground is intended for ages five through twelve, and adult supervision is required at all times.
- Shared Dining Room: Meals are served three times a day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, in our dining room. Our kiddos arrive at mealtime and may eat with their family, friends, and caregivers. Having a shared space for dining encourages socialization and normalization for children.
- Dierberg's Kitchen: Kids, families, and their providers enjoy cooking, horticulture, games, and more, at this popular hangout spot. The kitchen itself is fully-functional, and kids often use it as part of therapy. Following a recipe can help with memory. Grasping a baking dish can be part of occupational therapy. Sometimes the reward of brownies is the simple push kids needs to finish therapy!
- Art Room: The art room is a great spot not only for fun, but for therapy. Creating art not only boosts creativity, but also motor skills, self-expression, and focus. It’s also an integral space for our kiddos to hang out and get to know each other as they work on their art.

- Music Room: The Music Room is a favorite spot at Ranken Jordan, and everyone knows “Music Mary,” our full-time music therapist. Stocked with instruments like drums and guitars, our kiddos are always learning and composing new tunes. Music therapy reduces anxiety, playing instruments helps the development of motor skills, and learning songs helps build cognitive skills.
- Meditation Room: The Meditation Room is a quiet space for families. The room is stocked with plenty of reading materials that are available to borrow. The natural light-filled room is perfect for mediation, reflection, reading, or prayer.
- Wellness Center: The Wellness Center is packed with exercise equipment for patient use. Whether it be strength, cardio, or endurance, the gym has the materials for our kiddos to work on whatever they need. This space is open to employees at lunch and in the evenings.

- Therapy Gym: Ranken Jordan’s therapy gyms are often at the center of a patient’s recovery. The gyms are fully stocked with the tools needed to make therapy both fun and effective. Noticing the toys? At Ranken Jordan, therapy and play go hand in hand.
- Pool Therapy: If you’re coming to Ranken Jordan for therapy, pack your swimsuit! The pool is kept nice and warm, perfect for your muscles to do some water therapy. Therapy in the water at Ranken Jordan is just as fun as it is on land!
- Corto's Pass: With a rock-climbing wall, a stage, and a few hangout spots, Corto’s Pass is one of Ranken Jordan’s busiest spots. Located just outside of one of our therapy gyms, the tables and chairs in Corto’s Pass are a great spot for family members to wait while their child does therapy.
- West Unit: The West Unit at Ranken Jordan is home to our younger kiddos. Rooms are equipped with round the clock staffing and equipment to give the best possible care and treatment for your little one.

- Putting Green: Golf lessons are available to our kiddos each Wednesday afternoon. Lessons are provided by Kevin Corn, a PGA professional from Innsbrook Golf Club. The lessons are available to any patient, no matter their ability or mobility.
- Miracle Field: Miracle Field, donated by Mike and Kristen Matheny’s Catch 22 Foundation, is a fully accessible baseball diamond open to our kiddos of all abilities. Beyond baseball, our kiddos play disc golf, matball, and a myriad of other outdoor games on this field. On Saturday mornings in the fall, you’ll find our kiddos competing in Challenger Baseball games.
- Patio: The patio is open to our kiddos daily from 8:30a to 5p. The patio is a great place for our kiddos to read, work, or hangout outside. Weather permitting, therapy sessions may take place out here, including our weekly relaxation group. The deck is also the best seat in the house for a Challenger Baseball game.
- Outdoor Playground: Whether you love to swing, slide, or climb, the playground is always full of fun. The playground is wheelchair accessible, including a swing designed specifically for wheelchairs.
- Horticulture: Plants and flowers surround all of the attractions found in Ranken Jordan’s backyard. Ranken Jordan partners with the Botanical Gardens to keep our grounds looking beautiful. The bridge in the garden area is a nod to Ranken Jordan’s title and mission of being a bridge hospital.
