Santa Claus stopped by Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital for his annual pre-Christmas visit Friday, December 19, bringing holiday cheer and gifts to nearly 50 young patients as part of a long-standing community tradition.

Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital’s Amanda Boeckstiegel, MSN, RN, has won the 2025 Nurse Innovator Award from the Center for Missouri Nurses. Awarded Friday, Nov. 7, at the 2025 Missouri Nurses Association Fall Conference in Columbia, Mo., the organization recognized Boeckstiegel for her work leading a pioneering initiative to address the hospital’s most pressing barrier to discharge: the nationwide shortage of private duty nursing (PDN).
In his new role, Covert is responsible for advancing Ranken Jordan’s vision of helping children with complex medical needs live their best lives through philanthropy. He leads the development team which includes specialists in major gifts, leadership gifts, corporate and foundation relations, annual giving, special events, donor relations, and fundraising operations.
St. Louis-based Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital has appointed Nick Holekamp, MD, its first Chief Health Transformation Officer, a newly-created role to lead the hospital’s plan to bring systemic change to the care of medically complex children.
