Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital has announced Dr. Lisa DeLaney as the newest addition to its team of medical professionals. DeLaney joins Ranken Jordan as a staff psychiatrist, bringing with her an impressive background in child and adolescent psychiatry.

DeLaney received her medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine and completed her general psychiatry training at the same institution. She furthered her specialization by completing her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Washington University.

With board certifications in both adult psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry, DeLaney is well-versed in treating pediatric psychiatric disorders.

In addition to her previous roles, DeLaney works with the Missouri Child Psychiatry Access Project, providing advice for primary care providers across the state of Missouri for mild-moderate behavioral health concerns. She also does case reviews for children and adolescents who are currently in foster care through the University of Missouri-Columbia Center for Excellence in Child Well-Being.

Her knowledge of life in a hospital as well as her experience in the wider community has positioned her as an expert and prominent leader in the field of pediatrics.

“Since beginning my career as a hospitalist for both a child and adolescent psychiatry unit, I’ve dedicated over 15 years to serving the pediatric population and cultivating community mental health settings,” DeLaney said. “Having deep roots in the St. Louis medical community and a motivation for elevating pediatric mental health care, I am honored to join Ranken Jordan in their meaningful work.”

In her role as staff psychiatrist, DeLaney will contribute to Ranken Jordan’s approach to patient care, focusing on the whole child and emphasizing the integral role of mental wellness in the overall development and well-being of the young patients under the hospital’s care.

“We are truly fortunate to have Dr. DeLaney as part of our team,” says Dr. Nick Holekamp, Chief Medical Officer at Ranken Jordan. “Her unwavering dedication to pediatric mental health, unique skill set, and commitment to nurturing the minds of young patients make her a valuable asset on our team.”
