Ranken Jordan is proud to welcome Ellyn Rosenblum as the new executive director of strategic initiatives. Ellyn brings nearly 30 years of professional experience to Ranken Jordan, including more than 15 years in healthcare leadership. Most recently, Ellyn served as the director of strategy and business development at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital where she led strategic planning to support significant growth of the hospital including the transport team, ambulatory care sites, and growth initiatives for pediatrics and maternity services across the St. Louis region.

“As the organization prepares for our next strategic plan, growing our services to care for more children with medical complexities is a priority,” says Shawn Dryden, president and CEO at Ranken Jordan. “This position is critical for our success, and Ellyn has deep, specialized experience serving the pediatric community in the area. I am confident her strategic insight will launch our hospital to new heights.”

Ellyn completed her bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Missouri – Columbia and her master’s in health administration from Washington university. She has contributed to and led strategy teams in the private sector and healthcare industry, including 11 years at St. Louis Children’s Hospital and five years at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.

“I am so excited to help our community’s most vulnerable patients at Ranken Jordan,” says Ellyn. “I have helped these patients at the acute care hospitals in St. Louis, and I know the important role Ranken Jordan plays in their recovery. I am so excited to help advance the mission of this organization.”

Shawn adds, “Our hospital is going to look different over the next few years, and our executive team had the foresight to add another executive to our team to oversee our strategy. We anticipate many new programs, services, and initiatives in our next strategic plan, and Ellyn is an incredible addition to our team to lead the development and implementation of these for us.”
