Emily Melick Bridges, CPNP-PC

Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Emily Melick Bridges, CPNP-PC, is a pediatric nurse practitioner at Ranken Jordan who cares for patients through health assessment, diagnosis and treatments. Emily’s focus throughout her career in nursing has been on working with pediatric patients and their families.

 

Prior to joining Ranken Jordan in 2012, Emily was a pediatric nurse practitioner in hematology and oncology at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Part of her role included providing education to patients with sickle cell disease and hemophilia to help them manage their chronic illness. She also educated families about oncology research trials.

 

Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Emily was a registered nurse at Carle Foundation Hospital Pediatric Unit in Urbana, Illinois, where she cared for children with a broad range of conditions on a general pediatric floor.

 

Emily received her Master of Science in nursing with a pediatric nurse practitioner primary care specialty from University of Illinois-Chicago. Emily received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from University of Evansville.

 

At Ranken Jordan, Emily is part of the developing Palliative Care Committee as well as the medical team representative helping to update and implement changes in the hospital electronic medical charting system.

 

Outside of work, Emily is a runner and triathlete having completed half marathons in over 30 states and full Ironman among other races. She is also the mother to two children.
