Rachael Juehring, PhD

Pediatric Psychologist

Rachael Juehring, PhD is a pediatric psychologist at Ranken Jordan. In her role, she focuses on the psychological aspects of acute and chronic medical conditions and works to promote positive behavior in children, teens and families.

She is inspired by the resilience of children and is dedicated to helping that resilience grow and see children flourish. Because families are vital to a child’s outcome, Dr. Juehring believes it is just as important to work with and support families as it is to work with the children.

She completed her bachelor’s degree, with a double major in psychology and sociology, from New York University. She received her master’s and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from Northern Illinois University.

Dr. Juehring completed a clinical internship in pediatric psychology at University of Florida Health Sciences Center followed by a pediatric psychology fellowship at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas.

A native St. Louisan, Dr. Juehring came back to her hometown after graduate school to be close to her family.

Prior to joining Ranken Jordan in 2017, Dr. Juehring was a pediatric psychologist at St. Louis Children’s Hospital where she had a focus on children seen in the Department of Endocrinology, specifically patients with diabetes, and those who are transgender or gender non-conforming.

She also helped to develop and facilitate a play and support group in St. Louis for children who identify as transgender or gender non-conforming.

Dr. Juehring brings research experience in mother’s interactions with their babies and temperament. She frequently presents on various topics to families and other medical professionals.
