Kim Buie serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital, bringing over 25 years of experience in both corporate and nonprofit financial leadership.

Kim began her career at Anheuser-Busch InBev, where she spent two decades honing her expertise in financial strategy and operations. Her career took a transformative turn when she embraced the nonprofit sector, serving as CFO for Youth in Need for five years. Through deep reflection and guidance from mentors, Kim found herself drawn to work that aligned with her passion for service. This journey ultimately led her to Ranken Jordan, where she was profoundly moved by the hospital’s mission and its emphasis on the healing power of play.

As CFO, Kim is dedicated to ensuring financial sustainability, fostering strategic growth, and supporting Ranken Jordan’s life-changing programs. “Ranken Jordan’s mission resonates with me because every child deserves the opportunity to play and heal,” Kim shares. Her leadership is not just about numbers—it’s about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families.

Kim holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from James Madison University (Cum Laude) and an Executive MBA from Washington University in St. Louis’s Olin School of Business. She is actively engaged in the community, contributing to organizations like the Dana Brown Charitable Trust and Refresh Community Church. A proud member-at-large of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., she was also recognized with the YWCA Certificate of Leadership in 2015.

At home, Kim and her husband of nearly 18 years raise their two sons, ages four and 14, in University City, Missouri. Family remains her greatest priority, and she finds joy in cooking, reading motivational books, and running to clear her mind.
