Connie Simmons, MD, a pediatrician and pediatric hospitalist, applies her broad experience to provide care at Ranken Jordan for patients ranging from premature infants to young adults who have complex medical conditions. She in inspired by the children who can smile even through all their hardships.

 

While in pediatric private practice, Dr. Simmons provided inpatient care as well as newborn and NICU care. She also has worked in hospital emergency rooms.

 

With additional training in sports medicine, Dr. Simmons previously served as team physician for Southeast Missouri State University women’s athletics and was co-medical director of the university’s athletic training education program.

 

Dr. Simmons has been recognized with several awards and honors including being listed as one of the Best Doctors in St. Louis and Best Doctors in America.

 

At Ranken Jordan, Dr. Simmons served as a director of the Emergency Response Team and a member of the Medical Executive Committee. Currently, she is a clinical instructor for medical students and residents.

 

Dr. Simmons received her bachelor’s degree from Southeast Missouri State University where she was also an Academic All-American Athlete. Her medical degree is from University of Missouri School of Medicine. She completed her internship in pediatric and adolescent medicine at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital through Saint Louis University.

 

In her spare time, Dr. Simmons enjoys fishing, traveling and gardening.
