Lisa DeLaney, MD

Staff Psychiatrist

Lisa DeLaney, MD, is a staff psychiatrist at Ranken Jordan, helping to serve the mental health needs of patients admitted to the pediatric bridge hospital.

 

Born and raised in St. Louis, Dr. DeLaney received her medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine and completed her general psychiatry training at the same institution. She furthered her specialization by completing her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Washington University.

 

With board certifications in both adult psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry, Dr. DeLaney has spent the majority of her career caring for the pediatric population. She started her career as a hospitalist for both a child and adolescent psychiatry unit and then spent more than 15 years in community mental health settings.

 

In addition to her role at Ranken Jordan, DeLaney works with the Missouri Child Psychiatry Access Project, providing advice for primary care providers across the state of Missouri for mild-moderate behavioral health concerns. She also does case reviews for children and adolescents who are currently in foster care through the University of Missouri-Columbia Center for Excellence in Child Well-Being.

 

Her knowledge of life in a hospital as well as her experience in the wider community has positioned her as an expert and prominent leader in the field of pediatrics.

 

When she’s not working, Dr. DeLaney enjoys spending time with her husband, two boys and two dogs.
