Rod Pellenberg, MD, a pediatric cardiologist and hospitalist at Ranken Jordan, cares for children with a wide variety of heart issues, including congenital heart defects, arrhythmias, pulmonary hypertension, and heart failure, often in combination with other complex medical conditions.

 

Dr. Pellenberg combines his pediatric cardiology expertise with his love for children and dedication and determination to help them go home healthy and happy.

 

Before joining Ranken Jordan, Dr. Pellenberg was a pediatric cardiologist in Nashville, Tennessee.

 

Following his residency at Texas Children’s Hospital through Baylor College of Medicine, he completed his pediatric cardiology fellowship at Duke Children’s Hospital and the Children’s Hospital of Georgia.

 

He received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Duke University and a master’s degree in pharmacology as well as his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine.

 

Dr. Pellenberg’s research has been published numerous times and he has presented his work across the country.

 

He is a father of three children and enjoys playing basketball and golf in his free time.
