Sarah Shoemake is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner with nearly 20 years of experience in pediatric nursing with a special emphasis in gastroenterology. Sarah cares for pediatric patients with a variety of GI issues including inflammatory bowel disease, feeding difficulties and functional GI disorders in addition to providing primary care.

Before joining Ranken Jordan in January 2022, Sarah was a nurse practitioner for Mercy Clinic Pediatrics and at Mercy Kids GI, among other roles. Throughout her career, she has been asked to speak at several educational symposiums and lectures and continues to be a preceptor for nurses pursuing their master’s and doctoral degrees.

Sarah graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Missouri–St. Louis where she also received her Master of Science in Nursing. In 2015, she was nominated for the March of Dimes Nurse of the Year Award, which recognizes nurses who go above and beyond.
