Hospital environments need to be more stimulating for its youngest patients to mitigate the risk of developmental delay, new research from Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital suggests.
Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital was recently awarded the Missouri Hospital Association’s 2023 Compass Honor. This award recognizes a Missouri hospital for outstanding efforts in effectively partnering with their Patient Family Advisory Council (PFAC).
Katy Cox, RN, a charge nurse at Ranken Jordan, is the first-ever winner of the Missouri Hospital Association’s (MHA) Nurse Champion Award. Katy was selected for the Nurse Champion Award out of 22 individual nurses nominated by their peers.
Ranken Jordan is proud to welcome Ellyn Rosenblum as the new executive director of strategic initiatives. Ellyn brings nearly 30 years of professional experience to Ranken Jordan, including more than 15 years in healthcare leadership. Most recently, Ellyn served as the director of strategy and business development at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital where she led strategic planning to support significant growth of the hospital including the transport team, ambulatory care sites, and growth initiatives for pediatrics and maternity services across the St. Louis region.
A simple introduction to Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital grew into a lasting passion. Thanks to their generosity and commitment to the children, families and staff at the hospital, Shannon and Bill Willhite are being honored with the 2023 Mary Ranken Jordan Service to Children Award. Given with heartfelt gratitude on behalf of children, the Mary Ranken Jordan Service to Children Award honors those who selflessly serve Ranken Jordan, the St. Louis community, and by their example, encourage others to do the same. The award also recognizes individuals and organizations demonstrating a commitment to the ideals and vision established in 1941 by the hospital’s founder, Mary Ranken Jordan.
