Journey of Compassion: Ranken Jordan’s Transport Team Goes the Extra Mile in Connecting Lives and Communities

Because of a generous gift from Craftsmen Industries, Inc., our three transport vehicles have a fresh, updated look showcasing our new vision and bold brand colors. “The new van needed graphics added to it, and we decided to update the other two vans at the same time to match,” says Cassie Baranovic, nurse manager who oversees our patient transport department. “We weren’t sure where to go, then our development team connected us to Craftsmen Industries.”

Donors and Volunteers Decorate for the Holidays

After just one step into the halls of Ranken Jordan, most people immediately notice the ways in which the hospital does not quite have the same feel as others. The culture of play and compassion permeates every aspect of Ranken Jordan, down to the design of the space. Year-round, the hospital maintains a sort of magic by refreshing decorations that enhance the feel of each season. Whether there is a new display by the art room, or seasonal gnomes on the patient kitchen door, Ranken Jordan rarely looks the same on two separate visits. The holidays are no different as multiple people come together each year to transform the hospital into a proper winter wonderland. This year, the Ranken Jordan development team partnered with volunteer coordinator, Jenna Firehammer, to include the help of some very generous donors.

And this jolly guy bought every gift himself in appreciation for what Ranken Jordan means to him. Santa, AKA Ryan Joseph, or RJ, spent his first Christmas at Ranken Jordan 10 years ago when he was just a few weeks old. Since then, he has returned for outpatient therapy and plays Challenger Baseball each season at Ranken Jordan.
