Meet Our Gala Chairs

Ranken Jordan heroes and Gala Chairs, Ralph and Julie Grant, have been devoted to the Ranken Jordan mission since attending their first Gala over 12 years ago. Julie is a St. Louis native who grew up in North County, attended Rosati Kain H.S., and obtained degrees at Tulane University and Washington University in St. Louis. Ralph grew up in Kansas City where people don’t care about your high school and obtained his degree from Missouri S&T in Rolla. Julie is a Human Resources Leader at RGA where she supports a global group for the business. Ralph is an Associate at CRB where he designs and builds pharmaceutical plants. They have been blessed with two healthy teenage boys (JD and Wyatt). From company outings to sponsorships and auctions, Ralph is a true hero for Ranken Jordan and always ready to share his many talents to help patients transition home. In her role as a HR leader, Julie, has introduced thousands of staff members to the mission of Ranken Jordan and other great non-profits such as the music therapy organization, the Angel Band Project. This fairy godmother recently engaged her company to help grant over 100 holiday wishes for our patients. Last year, the Grants joined the Friends of Ranken Jordan Advisory Group and have taken their hero status to the next level – serving as Chairs for this year’s BEYOND Gala.

Once upon a time...

When Ronan entered the world, all seemed well, but as he grew, delays in his development surfaced. Unable to sit up, roll over, or crawl independently, concern also grew. Despite seeking answers from neurologists, Ronan’s condition remained a mystery.

A journey led him to Ranken Jordan after aging out of state-provided early intervention services. Amidst the challenges of virtual therapy during a pandemic, Ranken Jordan became a beacon of hope for Ronan and his parents, Evan and Katie. The caring environment and collaborative approach brought light to their path.

Engaging in speech, occupational, physical, and aquatic therapy at Ranken Jordan, Ronan’s progress shone through moments like standing independently for the first time. Ronan’s determination knows no bounds.

In a world without a diagnosis, Evan and Katie navigate each day with love and dedication, ensuring Ronan receives the care and support he deserves on his unique journey of growth and discovery..
